Moonlighting together: faculty (creative) writing groups

Studies of research-oriented faculty writing groups have consistently shown that such benefit participants by increasing scholarly productivity, fostering collaboration, and heightening feelings belonging. As a result, some universities colleges begun to take measures support groups. But do centred on creative carry the same or similar benefits as their counterparts, should they likewise receive institutional support? In this article, I examine group at teaching-focused regional public university in U.S. Participant observation survey data suggest can, fact, achieve ends group. Moreover, argue participation can improve participant’s ways transfer across contexts well enhancing his her effectiveness teacher writing. even if member does not specialise writing, experience participating both institution.
